Feeding Guide
- Commence feeding at a rate of 0.5% of body weight/head/day. Increase gradually over a 3-week period to 1 - 1.5% of body weight or at rate required to achieve target feeding goals
- Ensure good quality roughage such as pasture, hay or straw is available at all times.
- Feed in troughs, self-feeders or on the ground
- When feeding in self feeders, pellet intake can be regulated by manoeuvring the shutters, lowering the shutters will reduce intake.
- Ensure sufficient trough space to minimise competition.
- Ensure supply of fresh, clean drinking water at all times.
